Missing Your Algarve Best? 

All things must pass.* Unfortunately, that means missing your Algarve best when your vacation ends and you head back home. Until the next time...

So, what do you miss most about the Algarve when you're away from it? Here are my top 5 regrets, when I'm not enjoying myself in my favourite vacation spot:

5. Relaxation

It's a laid-back feeling, and it arrives as soon as my plane touches down at Faro airport. It's normally warm and sunny, and the scale and pace of everything is just so... human, compared to wherever I've flown from.

4. Weather

Hardly a secret, but the Algarve weather is what attracts a high percentage of visitors to the region. With over 300 sunny days and 3000+ hours of sun per year, it makes more northern climes seem positively frigid! 

3. Adventures

Even though I've learned a lot about the region in the time I've been visiting, there's always more. And the greatest bonus is that visitors to this website keep telling me about yet more stuff I'd not discovered for myself. How great is that?

2. Dining Out

There's something great about eating out under the stars in a wonderful climate. Perhaps it's just me, but back in the UK, I'm rarely tempted to eat al fresco. Back in Algarve, though, it's a different story!

Add a few friends, some amusing conversation (and an ice cream or two) and I'm in heaven...

1. Beaches

No prizes if you guessed this one! I'm an Algarve beach nut, and not ashamed to admit it. Wherever you travel in the Algarve, you're not far from a fantastic, welcoming beach. It's the sort of thing I dreamed about as a girl. (I loved the beach at Bournemouth, but a variety of choice is better, don't you think?)

What Do You Miss Most About Algarve?

Not being in Algarve can be a bit of a downer! Leaving while knowing it'll be a long time before I'm sunning myself again is never easy. And it's always great to arrive back.
Hardly makes me unique, I know...
