Algarve Map - for finding beaches and much more!

No, not this one: there's an all-singing, all-dancing map further down the page...

The best way to find what you're looking for is to use a searchable map - and that's why I've included the version below - from those nice people at Google - on this page.

Now, you can check to see where your vacation base is located relative to all the places you wish to visit or see during your stay.

You can even use it to plan an itinerary, if you're touring around (isn't technology great?)

Just click and drag with the mouse to move the map around, or press on the '+' and '-' buttons to zoom in and out as you wish. If you need any further help on using the map, just use the 'Click for help' link beneath it. A pop-up window will give you all the information you need.

When using this map of Algarve, you can switch between 'Map' and 'Satellite' view, if you'd like to check landmarks (I like to find my home on the satellite view occasionally). Depending on the area, the satellite view might not zoom in all the way, but the map view does, so you can read street names and see landmarks indicated.

Algarve Boundaries to bear in mind

The Algarve's easternmost part is Vila Real de Santo Antonio, which is at the mouth of the Guadiana River. Once east of the river, you're in Spain, which is nice, but not as nice as the Algarve...

Going north, the Algarve ends a little north of Aljezur on the west coast, and near Alcoutim on the Guadiana river.

Don't forget, you can  subscribe to my monthly newsletter, Algarve Beach Life News -- I'll keep you updated, every month, about the new information I have added (there's tons to write about this wonderful area - and I'm hoping to manage even more once I'm finally settled into my new Algarve home!) You can also read what others think, as I add more pages with stories and favourite spots of other Algarve beach lovers.
