I have put up this new page about Algarve property for
sale so that if you visit the region and find yourself hankering,
you can view some select Algarve property.
As an antidote to the bewildering choice offered by the
many estate agents in Portugal, I decided to limit this
page to only those Algarve properties that I consider good value for
money, exceptional opportunities, or that otherwise
stand out from the crowd. A sort of
"wish-I'd-seen-that-when-I-was-looking" page.

For the information of those considering property in
Algarve, Portugal is a compact country, with a rich history,
much of which is preserved for the interested seeker. The
north-south motorway runs up the country's spine, making
visiting the centre and the north of the country remarkably
easy. And, if you don't want to drive, the public transport
is efficient and amazingly good value.
Property in the Algarve is likely to remain as solid as
it has been in the past, or so analysts seem to forecast.

You won't find this type of Algarve property for sale
very often, as it's a traditional and well-sited place of
the sort that rarely leaves a family's ownership.

stands in one of the most elegant old buildings within the historic quarter of
Tavira. It is close to the Roman bridge which crosses the river
Gilão and is handily-placed for easy access to the main
shopping area, the market and plenty of cafes, restaurants
