I Love Martinhal Beach

Martinhal before the concrete wave

Martinhal beach is in Sagres and I love Sagres because it has not many people (YET) and the houses are not high (the highest building has ground floor, first floor and second floor.
The Martinhal beach sand is very white and the water looks like the pictures we see on Caribbean holidays ads.
Come to Sagres and visit Martinhal (although right now it is losing some of its beauty as Martinhal Beach Resort and Hotel is spoiling the landscape.

Yes, yes, yes! I agree completely. I was there 2 years ago, and loved it.
Altho' I went to Spain last year, I want to revisit the Algarve again. And Martinhal will be right up there on my 'to do' list.
Weather outside is awful. I can't wait for that sunny beach.

Have you seen Martinhal beach recently?

There is now a new development on this beautiful beach with a 5 star hotel (very expensive) and a resort with modern 'Conran-style' boxes available for rental. The literature sounds very American so maybe these developers are from the US! May 2010

Dull pic

Agree about the beach, but shame about the picture - so dull!
I'm sure I've got some brighter examples on my PC somewhere. Must sort one out and send it in, so people don't get the wrong impresion about Martinhal.
I'm looking forward to my next visit (in May)!
