I have had a read of your top 10 beaches in the Algarve; everyone can have their opinion but I think you should discover a bit more of the Algarve! As a native, I could name you more than 10 beaches far better then yours. Especially when you compare Praia de Faro with Praia da Rocha! I can't believe you put Praia de Faro ahead of any at all, but like I said you have your opinion....

Some of my favourites are: Praia do Alemao, Prainha, Carrapateira, Burgau, Ponta da Piedade and so on so on... but let me congratulate you for your site.

I should note that my 'top 10' beaches page now lists only three, and your comment refers to that original page.

As you mention, it's all down to personal taste. I wouldn't claim Praia de Faro is fantastic in absolute terms, but... I do like to walk around those salt pans, the Moto Clube have their annual motorbike bash nearby - and there are always people at the beach enjoying themselves whenever I arrive. I rest my case, m'lud!

Of course, all of Pedro's favourites are great beaches, and when I next visit some of them, I may be tempted to revise my own list.
